  • Do I need to schedule a consultation?
Schedule a personalized consultation with me to discuss your goals and find the perfect brow style. I welcome your questions and want to ensure that we are a good match as artist and client. Consultations can be done in person or through online videos. Alternatively, all New Client appointments are pre-booked for 3.5 hours and include a consultation, even if you choose not to schedule one separately.
  • What is the difference between Microblading and Nano Brows?
The main difference between Nano Brows and Microblading is their method of application. The technique uses a tattoo machine with a single needle to insert the pigment into the skin. It does not cut the skin, making it less invasive and less traumatic in comparison to the Microblading technique. Both styles are used to create hair like strokes. Microblading requires cutting the skin open in order to implant pigment and is more likely to cause scarring over time. Microblading uses a handheld tool to cut and push the pigment into the skin. Nano Brows uses a tattoo machine and a single needle to inject pigment into the skin.
  • What are the benefits of Nano Brows?
Nano Brows (also known as Machine Hair Strokes) is a revolutionary technique in the permanent makeup industry that combines the precision of microblading with the longevity of traditional machine methods. Using a machine allows the artist to create natural-looking eyebrows with minimal discomfort and minimal downtime. As a result, the Nano Machine Strokes last longer because the machine is able to deliver more pigment into each hair stroke much more superficially. This allows longer lasting results for clients with normal to oily skin. Less pain and no tearing of the skin Better color retention No hair stroke shrinkage Less touch ups preserving the integrity of the skin Ideal for most skin types
  • I have a previous tattoo/microblading done, can you tattoo over or fix them? Will it be considered a touch up?
Before scheduling your appointment online, please send clear pictures of your tattoo to info@facefirstesthetic.com for approval. Please note that for corrections or rework, the tattoo has to be significantly faded in order to achieve the desired results. Keep in mind that working on an existing tattoo requires more effort than starting from a blank canvas, and therefore would be considered a new brow.
  • How often do I need a touch up?
My initial approach for a Nano Brow appointment is "less is more." Following your first appointment, a touch up is scheduled for 6-8 weeks later. This appointment is optional but recommended for achieving desired results by ensuring any necessary adjustments to the shape or color are made based on your healed results. It is suggested to receive touch ups every 1-3 years to maintain the shape and color of your brows as most pigments have a tendency to heal cooler. Factors such as skin type, age, and lifestyle may impact how quickly the pigments fade. For example, those with oily skin and larger pores should expect to see fading after a year while those with dry skin can expect their brows to last up to two years. Environmental factors such as excessive sun exposure and the use of active skin ingredients like retinol, Vitamin C, and acids can also have an effect on the pigment color. Taking good care of your tattoo is crucial to maintaining its longevity.
